We welcome visitors any Saturday between 9.00am and 2.30pm or other times by prior arrangement.
The XS186 CREW always encourages involvement in the restoration project. Each and every person, no matter what their age or background, has a skill that is useful, and most individuals that get involved find they can get a great deal of satisfaction from seeing their input contribute to something tangible, and often quite exciting!
Skills from panel beating and painting, administration to fund-raising, and photography to polishing are all required.
Work is carried out on site each and every Saturday, rain or shine, at the Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre, so if you want to drop in and have a chat (and a cuppa of course!) please feel free to drop in.
If you can’t participate in person, but want to help by making a donation to the restoration project, you can contact Paul on 07800 945 538 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Paul will gratefully receive and receipt donations, and can even assign funds or good / services to a particular aspect of the project is so wished.
A dedicated XS186 Restoration Project bank account is set up, and funds are managed (and hopefully built up) to ensure the ongoing restoration and operation of XS186 is not let down by financial constraints.
If you cant make it to Metheringham to participate in person why not follow us here, and with ‘Jim the Jet Provost’ on facebook, a fictional story with many similarities to that of XS186’s story, follow this link; https://www.facebook.com/#!/JimTheJetProvost?fref=ts
